A semi truck driver was caught in a major mudslide in Bellingham, Washington, on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

The Washington State Patrol responded to the incident around 5 a.m. on Sunday, October 27 on northbound I-5 at mile marker 254, north of Iowa Street in Bellingham.<\/p>\n

Heavy rainfall triggered a mudslide, spilling \u201cabout 2000 cubic yards of debris \u2026 across lanes of I-5,\u201d according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo vehicles, a passenger car and a semi truck, were stuck in about two feet of mud,\u201d the Bellingham Fire Department said.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

Portions of I-5 were shuttered until 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
