{"id":16598,"date":"2024-11-22T00:09:19","date_gmt":"2024-11-22T00:09:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pro-truckdrivers.com\/blog\/fmcsa-video-explains-return-to-duty-process-for-drivers-who-lost-cdl-due-to-drug-alcohol-clearinghouse-rule\/"},"modified":"2024-11-22T00:09:19","modified_gmt":"2024-11-22T00:09:19","slug":"fmcsa-video-explains-return-to-duty-process-for-drivers-who-lost-cdl-due-to-drug-alcohol-clearinghouse-rule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pro-truckdrivers.com\/blog\/fmcsa-video-explains-return-to-duty-process-for-drivers-who-lost-cdl-due-to-drug-alcohol-clearinghouse-rule\/","title":{"rendered":"FMCSA video explains Return-To-Duty process for drivers who lost CDL due to Drug &#038; Alcohol Clearinghouse rule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_84\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p>The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) recently shared a video for drivers who lost their commercial driving privileges due to Drug &amp; Alcohol Clearinghouse violations.<\/p>\n<p>Starting on November 18, 2024, an FMCSA rule (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.regulations.gov\/document\/FMCSA-2017-0330-0036\">Clearinghouse-II<\/a>) requires all State Driver Licensing Agencies (SDLAs) remove commercial driving privileges from individuals listed as  \u201cProhibited\u201d in the agency\u2019s Drug &amp; Alcohol Clearinghouse.<\/p>\n<p>In order to have commercial driving privileges reinstated, drivers must complete return-to-duty (RTD) process.<\/p>\n<p>According to the\u00a0most recent FMCSA reporting, 178,839 Commercial Driver\u2019s License (CDL) and Commercial Learner\u2019s Permit (CLP) holders are listed in \u201cProhibited\u201d Status in the Clearinghouse as of October 1, 2024.
