If the totes are &#8220;single stacked down the middle of trailer, then get straps that can hold twice the weight of a loaded tote. Or two straps rated at the weight of the tote. If the totes are stacked side by side down the middle, each strap, or all straps holding those 2 totes, should have a WLL of twice (legal is 1.5) the weight of the pair.<\/p>\n<p>Your straps need to have strength for at least 1.5 times the weight it is holding. So a 100 pound item needs AT LEAST 150 pounds of securement. I think the common rule of thumb is to use 200 pounds of securement, in my example.
