The Scranton Police Department <\/strong><\/a>(SPD) uncovered several violations during a commercial vehicle traffic stop and inspection.<\/p>\n

On November 17, 2024, police detailed a traffic stop conducted in Scranton, Pennsylvania, by the SPD\u2019s Motor Carrier Enforcement unit:<\/p>\n

Our Motor Carrier Enforcement team stopped this commercial vehicle where it was found to have 40,000 pounds of product when it exited a 10 1\/2 ton weight limit exit.<\/em><\/p>\n

A Level 1 inspection also revealed a suspended CDL; no log book and no registration for a trailer (which was last registered in 1999). The operator was also cited for the weight limit violation.<\/em><\/p>\n

The vehicle was towed for the safety violations.<\/em><\/p>\n
