A woman went out of her way to rescue a dog involved in a double fatality semi truck crash in Canada on Monday.<\/p>\n
Around 9 a.m. on November 25, three semi trucks were involved in a collision on Highway 17A\u00a0near Kenora, Ontario<\/a>.<\/p>\n Two of the truck drivers involved in the crash were killed, and the third suffered minor injuries.<\/p>\n Shortly after the crash, Kenora-area resident\u00a0Jillian Puls spotted a chihuahua in a ditch as she was on her way to work, according to NWO News Watch<\/a>. She was able to get the little dog into her car and after taking it to the vet, she learned that his truck driver owner lost his life in the crash on Highway 17A.<\/p>\n Puls shared a photo of the dog with the Facebook group Skilled Truckers Canada and she was eventually able to make contact with the family of the deceased driver to arrange transport for the chihuahua.<\/p>\n \u201cHis name is Sammy. The owner was an older fella, a long haul trucker that trucked a long time. He always brought Sammy. I\u2019ve made friends with Sammy\u2019s family now and they are all lovely people. My heart is with them all. The family have planned a trucker convoy to pick up Sammy from Kenora and will return him safely back to his momma. I pray the family can find an ounce of peace during such a hard time,\u201d Puls said in a social media post.<\/p>\n
