The Iowa State Patrol Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit<\/strong><\/a> arrested and charged a truck driver for a variety of violations including violating a federal out-of-service order.<\/p>\n

According to a December 5 statement from the Iowa State Patrol, a truck was recently stopped by a law enforcement officer who suspected that the vehicle was overweight.<\/p>\n

During the traffic stop, police discovered that not only was the truck \u201cextremely overweight,\u201d but the driver had been placed out-of-service twice for violations including not having a proper license.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the Iowa State Patrol discovered that the trucking company as a whole had been issued a federal out-of-service order.<\/p>\n

The truck driver was arrested and transported to jail on multiple charges.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe consequences for failing to correct violations noted on inspections will only increase in severity the longer violations are ignored!\u201d the Iowa State Patrol said.<\/p>\n
