Two DCSO cruisers were parked on the right-hand berm with lights activated, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>A woman operating a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia south on I-71 lost control, and her jackknifing truck struck Deputy Golden and the Camry.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Golden and the Camry driver were both hospitalized with serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The truck driver was not hurt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery day, our deputies face countless dangers \u2013 it is part of the job. Thursday, Deputy Golden was struck by a truck while taking a crash report on the side of the highway. He was seriously injured and remains hospitalized.
