The truck then crashed into a bridge overpass support, killing Trenton.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt ripped the entire truck open,\u201d said Rebecca Fisher, Trenton\u2019s aunt, to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wtvr.com\/news\/local-news\/i95-crash-driver-fled-scene-dec-12-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">6 News Richmond<\/a>. \u201cThe trailer opened. The FedEx trailer got ripped wide open.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen there is a truck accident with a semi-truck, they always want to blame the truck driver, and there was a lot of that on social media,\u201d Fisher continued. \u201cThat was really difficult\u2026 It was a semi-truck. How do you not see a semi-truck in the lane next to you? What was going on?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the Infiniti received medical treatment at the scene and gave his information for a crash report, but eventually fled, leaving Trenton\u2019s family without answers or justice for the fatal crash.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow would it take over a year to track somebody down for this when you had their name and address from the beginning?\u201d Fisher asked. \u201cIt\u2019s very frustrating and disheartening, and it\u2019s hard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Driver fled after causing a fatal I-95 crash. I feel like he should be leaving some kind of trail.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is some reason that they haven\u2019t got him, and I\u2019d hate to think they\u2019re just not capable of finding him,\u201d Dwayne, Trenton\u2019s grandpa, said of the situation.\u201cI want him to at least know that he didn\u2019t get away with it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNothing is going to bring Trenton back, and I know that,\u201d Fisher said. \u201cBut I do want justice for him at the very least because he shouldn\u2019t be gone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI miss him so much,\u201d his fianc\u00e9 Brandi Roland told WUSA9. \u201cHe was on the road a lot. This man was addicted to his job. He loved, loved what he did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trenton\u2019s family says that Virginia State Police never released the suspect\u2019s name or picture and has not asked the public for help in locating them. Matthew Demlein, the Interim Public Relations Director for the Virginia State Police, says that VSP is still trying to locate the suspect and has released all of the information that can.
