The truck driver who fled the scene has been identified as a 59-year-old man from Cleveland, Ohio. His name has not been released, reported <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cleveland19.com\/2024\/12\/19\/ohio-troopers-identify-driver-deadly-semi-truck-hit-skip-cleveland-man\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">19 News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>78-year-old motorist, Dennis Alsept, did not die in the crash, but passed away in the hospital a few days later.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was a great man, he loved his family,\u201d Alsept\u2019s son-in-law, Andy Donaldson, said. \u201cHis family was his everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccidents happen, however, he [the truck driver] made a tragic mistake that day,\u201d Donaldson said.<\/p>\n<p>OHP has not yet set forth any charges against the truck driver.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/cdllife.com\/2024\/truck-driver-in-fatal-u-turn-accident-identified-after-nearly-two-month-search-by-ohp\/\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A truck driver who fled a fatal accident with a motorist in Ohio has been identified nearly two months after the crash.\u00a0 The October 24th accident happened on Interstate 77 near Strasburg, Ohio, leading to a months-long search by the Ohio Highway Patrol.
