The California Highway Patrol issued hundreds of citations and inspected dozens of commercial vehicles during a one day special enforcement operation in the Bakersfield area.<\/p>\n

The operation took place on December 27 on State Route 99 and State Route 58 in Bakersfield, California.<\/p>\n

The operation involved 29 CHP officers and Sergeants from the Bakersfield, Buttonwillow, Fort Tejon, KernCATT, and Central Division Commercial\/SAFE divisions.<\/p>\n

    • 2 vehicles were impounded<\/li>\n
    • 69 commercial vehicles were inspected<\/li>\n
    • 13 drivers were placed out-of-service<\/li>\n
    • 12 vehicles were placed out-of-service<\/li>\n
    • 1 subject was arrested for DUI<\/li>\n
    • 1 occupied stolen vehicle was recovered<\/li>\n
    • 4 unoccupied stolen vehicles were recovered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
