{"id":17733,"date":"2025-01-06T22:23:24","date_gmt":"2025-01-06T22:23:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pro-truckdrivers.com\/blog\/lost-license-plate-was-sole-reason-for-traffic-stop-of-driver-who-made-false-bomb-threat-says-trucking-company\/"},"modified":"2025-01-06T22:23:24","modified_gmt":"2025-01-06T22:23:24","slug":"lost-license-plate-was-sole-reason-for-traffic-stop-of-driver-who-made-false-bomb-threat-says-trucking-company","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pro-truckdrivers.com\/blog\/lost-license-plate-was-sole-reason-for-traffic-stop-of-driver-who-made-false-bomb-threat-says-trucking-company\/","title":{"rendered":"Lost license plate was \u201csole reason\u201d for traffic stop of driver who made false bomb threat, says trucking company\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_84\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p>The truck driver arrested after making a bomb threat during a traffic stop had a totally clear driving record prior to his arrest, the trucking company involved wrote in a statement on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>28-year-old Ahmad Jamal Khamees Alhendi was arrested on January 2nd after indicating to officers that he possessed a \u201csmall <a href=\"https:\/\/cdllife.com\/2025\/driver-of-semi-truck-in-i-85-bomb-threat-identified-charged\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bomb\u201d in his truck cab <\/a>during a traffic stop on Interstate 85 in Greenville County, South Carolina.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The bomb threat was discovered to be false, and Alhendi was charged with breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature, conveying false information about a bomb threat, and operating or permitting an unregistered vehicle, reported <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenvilleonline.com\/story\/news\/local\/2025\/01\/06\/man-accused-of-closing-i-85-with-bomb-threat-placed-on-detainer-by-ice\/77489858007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Greenville Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Alhendi\u2019s semi truck belonged to Globe Life Transportation, who has since issued the following statement about the incident:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe driver in question is an owner-operator, and he holds a valid and active CDL issued by the state of Illinois, his state of residence. He is legally authorized to operate a commercial motor vehicle and has a clean motor vehicle record, free of any moving violations or drug and alcohol offenses. Additionally, his Clearinghouse record is also clear. The only issue at hand was that the driver lost the trailer license plate while driving, which led to him being pulled over by a police officer.
