Trooper Fink then moved to make a U-Turn, and his vehicle was struck by a semi-truck near mile marker 120 southbound [on I-95],\u201d said the\u00a0Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles shortly after the crash.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1s died at the scene and Fink passed away in a hospital shortly after the crash.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit accuses Fink of operating recklessly during the police pursuit, and stated that Fink \u201ccut across all southbound lanes of traffic, from the outside lane to the inside lane, in pursuit \u2026 Unsurprisingly, defendant Zachary Fink cut off Arsenio M\u00e1s\u2019s lane of travel and caused a violent collision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The suit also alleges that Fink drove at speeds of up to 120 m.p.h. during the pursuit and that he disobeyed FHP policies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/cdllife.com\/2025\/family-sues-florida-highway-patrol-and-trooper-after-trucker-was-killed-in-crash-during-police-chase\/\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A truck driver\u2019s family has filed wrongful death lawsuit against the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) and the estate of a deceased trooper following a fatal crash that occurred during a high speed police pursuit last year.
