Officials say that is just one of many incidents they expect to come from the winter conditions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201dRight now, if I was a driver, I\u2019d consider every bridge impassable whether that bridge is impassable or not,\u2019\u2019 said Jefferson County EMA Director Jim Coker. \u201dI would consider every road to be a risk and do everything you can to alleviate that risk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As of 8 a.m. CST, The Alabama Department of Transportation was actively treating Interstate 20 from the Georgia state line to the Logan Martin Bridge. US 31 in Vestavia Hills and all city roads in Childersburg are closed due to poor conditions.<\/p>\n<p>All roads in Pickens County have been deemed impassable, and all roads in\u00a0 Etowah, Dekalb and Cherokee counties are quickly becoming impassable.
