An iconic restaurant in a truck stop in northern Colorado has closed for good after several decades of serving truckers and other travelers.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, January 12, Johnson\u2019s Corner Restaurant and Bakery,\u00a0located off I-25 in Johnstown, Colorado, shut down.<\/p>\n

The Petro Johnson\u2019s Corner truck stop which housed Johnson\u2019s Corner remains open under ownership by TravelCenters of America (TA).<\/p>\n

Johnson\u2019s Corner will reopen as part of the Black Bear Diner chain following a remodel of the space.<\/p>\n

9News<\/a> points out that the restaurant closure comes less than a year after a Buc-ee\u2019s travel center opened on I-25, about three miles south of the Petro Johnson\u2019s Corner truck stop.<\/p>\n

The restaurant was best known for its cinnamon rolls, which will reportedly still be available inside the truck stop.<\/p>\n

Johnson\u2019s Corner opened in 1952. The truck stop housing the restaurant was purchased by TA in 2014.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
