The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is asking drivers to pay extra attention following a semi truck vs. snow plow collision that occurred over the weekend.<\/p>\n

The collision occurred at 11:30 a.m. on January 25 on I-80 at mile marker 332.9, near Lone Tree, Wyoming.<\/p>\n

According to WYDOT District 1 \u2013 Southeast Wyoming<\/strong><\/a>, a plow operator was clearing drifts in the passing lane on eastbound I-80 when it was rear-ended by a commercial vehicle.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported, but WYDOT said that the crash caused \u201cextensive damage\u201d to the sander on the rear of the plow.<\/p>\n

WYDOT said that the truck driver was cited.<\/p>\n

Officials said that this is the ninth plow to be hit this season in Wyoming and the fourth in District 1.<\/p>\n

\u201cWYDOT reminds drivers to be mindful when driving in winter conditions. This includes checking road conditions before traveling, driving at a speed suitable for the conditions, and watching for snowplows,\u201d the agency said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
