\t\t\t\t\tI’m putting this question in the brokers<\/a> section even though it’s essentially a rant against brokers<\/a>. Not all brokers<\/a> but some. I hope that the more experienced can answer some questions and I hope some carriers will chime in with their experiences like mine.<\/p>\n Today I onboarded with a broker with decent reviews because they had a load I was interested in covering. <\/p>\n I did their RMIS packet and got more info on the load. When I got more info I realized the load wasn’t going to work for me but I’d already done their packet. In the packet I requested 3 day 3% quickpay instead of 30 day pay. I do this with some brokers<\/a>, especially new ones to me if they offer a decent rate.<\/p>\n A few minutes later I got an email from their compliance guy saying they couldn’t offer me quickpay because I have Progressive Insurance<\/a>. What? WTH does that have to do with quickpay which the carrier pays THEM a fee for? <\/p>\n Basically, I see this as discrimination. I have great credit. I keep my word. I’ve been doing this 7 years now and can count on one hand people I can’t\/won’t work with. I have kept Progressive Insurance<\/a> because I have a great agent who has taken care of me and beat out everyone else I’ve tried at renewal time, 6 times. <\/p>\n This is the 3rd time THIS year I’ve been told by a brokerage that they couldn’t work with me because I have Progressive Insurance<\/a>. Different reasons for this each time.<\/p>\n Please share your thoughts and experiences with brokers<\/a> misguided, arbitrary, stupid *** rules they are implementing lately, I’m sure in the name of fraud prevention, but quickpay?
