The Arkansas State Police (ASP) arrested a truck driver and seized thousands of pounds worth of illegal marijuana following a traffic stop on I-40 this week.<\/p>\n
At 12:45 p.m. on February 3, 2025, ASP troopers pulled over a tractor trailer on eastbound I-40 at mile marker 2 in Crawford County for a traffic violation, state police said in a news release<\/a>.<\/p>\n During the traffic stop, troopers discovered seven pallets containing 107 boxes of illegal marijuana.\u00a0<\/p>\n The total weight of the seized marijuana was 2,872 pounds.<\/p>\n Truck driver Zhiping Mu, 31, from Kent, Washington, was arrested and charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.<\/p>\n Mu is being held on a $150,000 bond.<\/p>\n \u201cThis seizure highlights Arkansas State Police\u2019s commitment to fighting drug trafficking on our highways,\u201d said Col.
