Two motorists were hurt on a highway in Chicago on Tuesday night after a large load of pipes rolled off of a semi truck.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The accident happened on February 25th at about 7:23 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the\u00a0 Kennedy Expressway in Chicago, Illinois.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to ABC 7 Chicago<\/a>, the large steel pipes fell off of a flatbed semi truck as it was driving along the expressway. The pipes struck at least three cars traveling nearby<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Two motorists were transported to a hospital with non life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Crews were forced to temporarily close all lanes as they worked to move pipes over to the shoulder of the expressway.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Illinois Department of Transportation was able to bring heavy equipment to the scene and clear the pipes at around 6:45 a.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
