Police are investigating a shooting incident that left a truck driver with injuries on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The shooting was reported at 7:28 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, at mile marker 4 on Highway 6, near Montgomery Pass at the Nevada\/California border.<\/p>\n

According to the Mineral County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/a> (MCSO), a truck driver was standing outside of his semi truck when another vehicle pulled up.<\/p>\n

A shooter inside that vehicle fired approximately five rounds towards the truck and driver.<\/p>\n

A California Highway Patrol report obtained by local outlet KIBS<\/a> indicates that the truck driver was outside of the cab taking a look at his broken-down vehicle when the shooting occurred. The outlet also reported that after the truck driver was shot, he was able to walk to another semi truck that was pulled over to ask for help. As he did, the suspect vehicle reportedly did a U-turn and approached the two truckers, but then fled the scene.<\/p>\n

The truck driver sustained a leg injury and was transported to a hospital in Bishop, California.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made. There is currently no available description of the suspect or the suspect vehicle.<\/p>\n
