I can’t add anything further because all the comments so far are right! I just wanted to remind you of one important point about registrations as it relates to truckers. The average OTR trucker is doing a drop & Hook at least once a week. I averaged almost two a week. You MUST develop the habit of checking the trailer registrations to make sure they are there AND have not expired. IF you come across one that has expired DO NOT place that trailer on the road until this has been fixed and you have the new registration in the box on the front of the trailer.

NEVER assume your carrier will place new IFTA stickers on your tractor. I used to take my permit book into our permits office every time I was in the home terminal and got my permits updated.

I bring this up because you seem to have an issue with remembering to do this on your POV. Not jumping on you. I am just giving you a friendly heads up to develop these habits when it comes to permits and other paperwork. For example, to EVEN make an alcohol delivery in the state of Maryland you had to have an originally issued card. A “copy” was not acceptable. I can’t remember how many times I had to be on the receiving end of a repower because a driver neglected to keep these cards up.

That permit book is VITAL to you as a driver. Keep it current. Fail to do so and it’s not a matter of if, it becomes a matter of when you get caught.
