I understand that, and will tell the story of how I came to need that jump start from the reefer, since it was not really a battery problem; it happened when I was having a fuel problem and ran the cranking juice too low….. it is a funny story and admit that had I not been the one in the truck at the time with the problem, I would have been LMFAO….
The truck I had was developing a fuel problem and the gauge was dropping like a rock and shut down….
Turned out that the left tank was dry and the right was overflowing when it was properly diagnosed, but not before being put OOS.
First shop thought it was the crossover valve and fixed that. Turns out that was either the wrong problem, or just part of it, because it continued. 2nd shop recommended a fuel tank replacement, although they couldn’t point out the hole it was leaking from (it was overflowing at the fill point, duh)….. we pushed on through delivery and found another shop that actually drained the tank that was overflowing and found a blockage in the line.
I don’t care how thorough you think your pre trip or a DOT inspection is…. this would NEVER be found!
What was pulled out…… wait for it….. looked like a CONDOM!
Apparently, someone who was assigned the truck before I was (I only drove it for about a week I think)….. really PISSED SOMEONE OFF!
