The good news is an overweight/over axle ticket is just money out of your pocket, not really a serious mark on your PSP.
Call CAT scales, although if you “drove” differently than you “weighed” on the CAT scales you are SOL. CAT will help with tickets if you weighed with CAT and you are fined for more weight than CAT said you weighed. NO OFFICER is going to see a CAT scale and tear up a ticket. Officers work by their certified scales. Showing a CAT scale ticket to an officer is like telling your wife your girlfriend doesn’t mind cooking your favorite meal. Even if it’s true, that’s not the point or the winning argument to make.
I weighed in L.A. going to NC. Got legal, THEN I SLIDE MY 5TH WHEEL TO IMPROVE RIDE, and drove all the way to east side of Memphis, TN before I TN DOT discovered that sliding my 5th wheel slid and extra 1,500 pounds onto my trailer tandems. TN fines you and charges a fee for every pound. Live and learn.
