Got pulled into a weigh station and the officers saw my co-worker stuffing weed in his boot. Pulled the truck in, searched and found the weed that I had no knowledge about. He then put me out of service and put the violation on MY PSP report and give my coworker the possession citation.
He assured me the whole time that I was in no trouble at all and here I am two months later trying to find ANYONE who has ever seen a similar situation. This is for a construction materials delivery company and this cat didn’t have to have a CDL.
I got setup, I already know that. This was literally my first day out driving they sent me right across a set of scales and boom they f’d me. I’ve submitted a correction on DataQ’s and contacted a lawyer but has anyone ever seen anything like this?
Coworker had the weed shoved in his boot and we traveled less than 30 minutes to the destination. Later the officers said I “must have smelled it” and that I’m “responsible” for anything the coworker had concealed on his person that I had NO way of knowing about.
…Anyone?
