Rookie driver let go due to safety issues | TruckersReport.com Trucking Forum

Hi all,

I just wanted to get some advice on what my options are as a new driver that was let go during my training period due to a few close calls while driving . I don’t want to go into details on what the safety issues were but I can see why the company would now look at me as a potential liability. I didn’t get into any accidents or damaged any property or vehicles so my MVR isn’t affected. I’m wondering if I apply to a new trucking company they will ask me why I was let go and so on. I’m also considering opportunities that would also me to use my CDL but not with an 18 wheeler.
