The location is Lexington, KY, I went to a private CDL Academy here, I have all my endorsements except Hazmat and I have a TWIC Card
I take my CDL Road Test on Wednesday, I do anticipate passing, what are some good offers for companies in my area? It’s really hard to find companies hiring in this area specifically, or companies which have a terminal nearby, as TenStreet doesn’t sort by that very well.
I’ve gotten a couple offers from companies such as Ryder (home daily), McElroy, Schneider (Dedicated), and a company called AWL Transportation. Just trying to gauge which company is best to jump in and get my feet wet, I plan on working for a company for a year or more to get some experience and then going to go Owner Operator, as I actually own a paid off 2020 579 from my late father (his passing is what got me into wanting to do this); and leasing myself out to Schneider or Landstar. But that’s for a later discussion for now, I want to get my foot in the door and learn the lay of it all
