What is the CLC app? I usually spend 1 or 2 nights a week in a hotel, and sometimes finding one with enough parking to fit trucks can be challenging.
I have been doing it long enough that I know where I can stay in most of the areas I run, but occasionally I end up in an area I am not too familiar with.
I was coming from Ashville NC the other week and wanted to stop at a hotel in Bristol VA that I have stayed at a few times before, but it ended up being closed for renovations and I couldn’t really find anything that looked good until Roanoke. Made it there with less than 30 minutes left on the clock to only find no tractor trailer signs at the entrance to the hotel.
I usually call 1st just to make sure they are ok with trucks but I didn’t this time. I parked anyway and headed in to check in and asked about the signs and the receptionist said that the signs were just to keep trucks from parking there and staying in their sleepers and not actually getting a room at the hotel.
I was relieved I didn’t have to try to find another hotel.
