I’ll be starting up with local side-dump work this year and will hopefully expand into some flatbed work hauling machinery. I’m getting everything together, making a list, and checking it twice. One thing I’m trying very hard not to overlook is the insurance.
My question is, who does everyone use for insurance? I’ve read in several places that Progressive is the only one that will insure an O/O and all the stuff that comes with it. I kind of find that a little hard to believe. Yet a Google search doesn’t seem to yield very many options either, so then again…
I have all my personal things covered by State Farm and already got a “no” from them in regards to this. My agent referred me to another insurance agency that seems to just broker from national companies (Progressive being one of them). In my mind, why pay a middle man? What do you guys think?
