I would not pack silicone since I don’t know where the silicone is going to end up.

What I will do is remove one stud at a time and clean very good and then put it back with plenty of teflon tape, that’s how my friend stopped the same leak on his 5ek, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do to my 1LW, I have paid three time to get this fix and all they do is the silicon way, thank god silicone hasn’t find it’s way to the oil and ending in one of the piston cooling nozzle.
