The Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) shared dash cam video of a traffic stop in Laredo that resulted in the arrest of a truck driver and several other individuals.
The dash cam video was captured on February 12 on South Zapata Highway and Riverhill Loop in Laredo, Texas.
TXDPS says that a law enforcement officer initiated a stop on a 2011 International truck tractor for a traffic violation.
As the truck came to a halt, ten individuals bailed out on the passenger side, running for the brush.
Following a multi-agency search that included assistance from a canine unit, police were able to apprehend seven illegal immigrants and truck driver Junior Adalid Montoya-Alvarez, 49.
Montoya-Alvarez, a Honduran national with lawful permanent status, was arrested for smuggling of persons.
