I’m thinking you are over your head, not because you are inferior, but because most L-P agreements that first-timers walk into are bad. You are legally obligated to pay all costs in the lease but the company IS NOT obligated to give you enough work to pay those costs.

If the company provides truck, trailer, finds the loads you are not independent contractor except in the mind of the company. In that circumstance the company is misclassifying an employee which saves them $$ for taxes. The IRS will find you and you’ll pay those taxes or else.
