You’ll have to swap your plates along with the door numbers so they match.
Run your DOT number/signs along with your IRP/cabcard/IFTA/insurance etc etc when you’re hauling with your authority.
Then swap everything with the carrier’s that you’re leased with when you’re running for them.
Your cab card is your registration. It goes with the plates/IRP/IFTA. The MC responsible for safety is whoever the IRP/plates are under.
It’s really simple. Your stuff for your freight and the carrier’s stuff when you’re hauling for them.
