Cheema consistently misrepresents itself. What they promise during onboarding—like good miles, preferred lanes, and specific running hours—rarely matches reality. They set expectations they never deliver on, leaving drivers feeling misled and undervalued.
Low Miles = Low Pay
Despite coercing drivers to stay out for their entire 70-hour workweek, Cheema rarely provides enough miles to justify the time away. Most weeks, drivers struggle to reach 2,500 miles, often falling well short of that number. Low miles mean low pay, and the company makes no effort to address the root cause—poor planning and dispatching.
Moving the Goalposts
Cheema has a bad habit of constantly shifting the terms of your employment. Agreed-upon days off, preferred lanes, and running hours are subject to change regardless of whether it works or not for the driver.
Toxic Management
The management culture at Cheema is toxic and dismissive. Many managers refuse to return calls or emails when drivers need support. Instead of addressing legitimate concerns, they deflect and pin the blame on the drivers. This lack of accountability creates a hostile and unsupportive work environment.
Blame-Shifting
Whenever issues arise—whether it’s low miles, scheduling conflicts, or breakdowns—Cheema consistently blames the drivers. Planners, dispatchers, and management are never held accountable for their mistakes, leaving drivers to take the fall for problems they didn’t create.
Unrealistic Expectations
The company expects drivers to stay out for their entire 70-hour shift, even when they provide less than 2,500 miles a week. You’re left wasting time sitting around with no loads, but they still expect total availability. It’s a huge waste of time and incredibly frustrating when you’re away from home for minimal pay.
